Thu 7 Apr @ 8pm
Sunshine Coast Blues Club
Royal George Hotel

Currie St Nambour
1st Thursday of the month
Since the first meeting at the Royal George Hotel in Feb 06 , the Sunshine Coast Blues Club has provided members & visitors with a simple & successful recipe. The regular audience is always there by 8pm to see the Blues Club “House Band” start the night with a set of blues favourites. Al Hensley (piano) & Bob Lee (double bass) enjoy the opportunity to present some lesser known & seldom performed blues to a receptive audience. Al’s encyclopaedic knowledge of the blues, plus his willingness to share his knowledge, makes each performance an education for club members. The house band is rounded out with Aaron Giffin on guitar, Joanne Lee on drums & Fabio Brecciaroli joining in on blues harp.
The Nambour Blues Club has quietly established itself as a welcome event on the first Thursday of each month. The combination of dependable quality music from the house band & the regular performers, plus the unexpected & surprising contributions from guest jammers, makes for a great night of Blues in Nambour.

Danny from The Delltones is back with a brand new Country Rock Show
Danny is currently busy writing songs with his five piece band for his next album and will be taking his Country Rock Show to stages across Australia in 2011.

Danny is very excited and keen to get out on the road again performing some of his own songs along with some old favourites that have been a big part of his career.
The show will take you on a musical ride from early influences that Danny grew up with and listened too, such as Elvis Presley, Benny King, Jackie Wilson and Sam Cooke to music from his current album, 19 Longfield Street.
This is a high energy show from beginning to end and will certainly guarantee a night to remember as we take you thru an era of great sounds and strong vocals.

Danny met Greg Mackay and Jeannie Ashurst when they performed backup vocals on the album back in 2009 and from there on began to recruit other members such as David Ashurst, a brilliant guitarist and Sam Shepherd who was last year nominated for a Golden Guitar Award. Last but not least Greg Richards who comes with years of experience completed the final selection.

The album 19 Longfield Street has been critically acclaimed not only here in Australia but also throughout Europe to the point where the first single from the album The Drifter is now being played in 18 countries worldwide.
