Enjoy a walk through the natural beauty of Kondalilla National Park at Montville & take a dip in the stunning rock pools at Kondalilla Falls.

Buderim Forest Park also has a pleasant short, bushwalk to a bridge overlooking a picturesque waterfall.

OCEAN & RIVER
FISHING 20 mins drive east

Along the Maroochy River & out to the ocean, you will find many spots to throw a line in. You can hire a boat or fish from the river’s edge with bream , whiting & flathead being the main catch. Tailor, mullet, mangrove jack & black bream are caught in the winter months & jew fish can be found around the Cod Hole. Fishing tackle plus live, fresh & frozen bait are available along the River Esplanade.

DIVE THE HMAS BRISBANE
20 mins drive east

One of the newest attractions on the Sunshine Coast, the HMAS Brisbane is the jewel in the crown for scuba divers. Since its sinking in July 2005, this freshly formed artificial reef has quickly attracted such a diversity of marine life & coral that it has already become an underwater paradise. You can dive all year round, with the water temperature at a comfortable 19C to 26C & 5 to 30m visibility, with 12-15m on average.

Enjoy scenic drives & spectacular coastal views from the lookout, stop for a picnic, or bushwalk along one of the many tranquil forest trails. For the more adventurous there’s even hot-air ballooning at sunrise!
