Thu 3 Nov @ 8pm Sunshine Coast Blues Club Royal George Hotel Currie St Nambour 1st Thursday of the month Since the first meeting at the Royal George Hotel in Feb 06 , the Sunshine Coast Blues Club has provided members & visitors with a simple & successful
recipe. The regular audience is always there by 8pm to see the Blues Club “House Band” start the night with a set of blues favourites. Al Hensley (piano) & Bob Lee (double bass) enjoy the opportunity to present some
lesser known & seldom performed blues to a receptive audience. Al’s encyclopaedic knowledge of the blues, plus his willingness to share his knowledge, makes each performance an education for club members. The house band is
rounded out with Aaron Giffin on guitar, Joanne Lee on drums & Fabio Brecciaroli joining in on blues harp. The Nambour Blues Club has quietly established itself as a welcome event on the first Thursday of each month. The
combination of dependable quality music from the house band & the regular performers, plus the unexpected & surprising contributions from guest jammers, makes for a great night of Blues in Nambour.

Wed 23 Nov to Sat 31 Dec 2011 Christmas Tree Trail Various venues - Sunshine Coast Communities
Council’s annual Christmas Tree Trail is bigger and better than ever and the community is invited to celebrate the official launch of the festive season on Wednesday 23 November at Mooloolaba.
These are not your average Christmas trees - they range in size and species - from fabulous Figs to pretty Paperbarks, and each will have a unique set of dazzling decorations.
The trail began two years ago when council spoke with Sunshine Coast communities about how they celebrate Christmas and what they’d like to see in their region to mark the occasion. Resoundingly, locals
asked for Christmas trees to be displayed in places where everyone could enjoy them.
Environmentally friendly Light Emitting Diode (LED) lighting features across all of the trees, keeping with council’s vision for the Sunshine Coast to be Australia’s most
sustainable region - vibrant, green and diverse.
And for the first time, council will use new scan-code technology to enable passersby to download the story behind the tree with a simple swipe of their iphones and smart
phones.
