Thu 1 Sept @ 8pm Sunshine Coast Blues Club Royal George Hotel Currie St Nambour Nambour Blues Club 1st Thursday of the month Since the first meeting at the Royal George Hotel in Feb 06 , the Sunshine Coast Blues Club has
provided members & visitors with a simple & successful recipe. The regular audience is always there by 8pm to see the Blues Club “House Band” start the night with a set of blues favourites. Al Hensley (piano)
& Bob Lee (double bass) enjoy the opportunity to present some lesser known & seldom performed blues to a receptive audience. Al’s encyclopaedic knowledge of the blues, plus his willingness to share his knowledge, makes
each performance an education for club members. The house band is rounded out with Aaron Giffin on guitar, Joanne Lee on drums & Fabio Brecciaroli joining in on blues harp. The Nambour Blues Club
has quietly established itself as a welcome event on the first Thursday of each month. The combination of dependable quality music from the house band & the regular performers, plus the unexpected & surprising contributions from guest jammers, makes for a great night of Blues in Nambour.

Fri 2 Sep Strawbfest! 25th Anniversary Chevallum State School 460 Chevallum Rd, Chevallum 5pm to 9pm Strawbfest is free
entry and free parking to encourage as many people as possible to come and enjoy the night!
Chevallum Strawbfest is a fundraiser for Chevallum School Parents and Citizens Association, which is a not for profit organisation dedicated to raising money to improve the
facilities, environment and opportunities afforded to the students of the school. In recent years Strawbfest has raised enough money to build a canteen/tuckshop for the school, as well as facilitate the purchase of some new
computers for the school. Chevallum Strawbfest is an icon on the Sunshine Coast calendar of festivals. It has been running for 25 years now, and this year marks the 25th Anniversary of Chevallum Strawbfest.
Chevallum
Strawbfest is on Friday 2nd September and starts at 5pm with the awesome fireworks display at 9pm. We have a number of rides for people to enjoy including the Scrambler, the Rock and Roll Roundup, ABC Fun Factory and more.
There are 3 stages operating with live music all night, with music flavours including jazz, punk/pop, country, acoustic and the party stage will feature some heavy metal. The food will amaze people as we have a multicultural
food area featuring Italian, Curries, Japanese, BBQs, Kebabs, a soup kitchen and of course the amazing Strawbfest Cafe with an array of mouthwatering strawberry desserts. Our famous Strawberry Kebabs are again on sale and sell out
very fast, with strawberries and marshmallows on a kebab stick and drizzled with chocolate. We have a licensed bar area which is home to the famous Chevallum Strawberry Daiquiris as well as other drinks on
sale. Many stalls are spread throughout the school including Novelties, show bags, plants, flowers, cakes, strawberries, pre-loved items, as well as games for children to enjoy. As people wander through Strawbfest they
will be entertained by Great Scot the magician as well as an Award winning cheerleading squad, amongst other items. There is also a monster raffle with one of the major prizes being a weeks holiday down at the Gold Coast. Tickets
are $2.50 and the raffle will be drawn on the night. As you can see, there is something for everyone at Strawbfest, and generally it attracts an audience of around 3500 - 4000 people, with many people coming back year after
year to enjoy the night. More info: 0427 692 679

Sat 3 & Sun 4 Sep + Sat 10 & Sun 11 Sep “The Sculptured Garden”
Exhibition Atrium Gallery Buderim Craft Cottage, 5 Main St, Buderim (between St Marks Anglican Church and Memorial Hall) 9am to 4pm on
all 4 days This September, Buderim Craft Cottage's Atrium Gallery will once again be overflowing with wonderous pieces for the exciting Sculptured Garden Exhibition. Potters and clay sculptors from the Buderim Craft
Cottage participate in this exhibition to showcase the very best of their work. The exhibition has been held annually for over ten years, and pieces exhibited in previous years have found their way into many homes and gardens
throughout Queensland and interstate. Designed with our al fresco lifestyle in mind, all the sculptures and artworks selected for the exhibition are unique, individually designed by the artist, and either hand-formed or made
on a potter's wheel. Some are suitable for domestic use, but the emphasis is on pieces which will enhance the decor of homes and gardens. So popular has the annual Sculptured Garden exhibition become that it is now
held over two weekends. two weekends. The second weekend coincides with the Buderim Garden Festival, itself a major event on the Sunshine Coast calendar.
